Bee Love-in
I was walking down the street earlier when I nearly stood on a couple of bees having a ruck…..
On closer inspection they seemed to be a bit more, er, ‘friendly’ than I first thought.
Am I right in thinking that this is a queen bee being rinsed by a worker bee on the pavement?
I thought I could hear the strains of Beery White floating over the wind … but I may have been wrong.
For the animal lovers out there, yes I did pick them up (with a banknote) and tipped them over a wall so they could carry on their business without getting mooshed. On my way back I saw a couple of cigarrette butts and the remnants of some royal jelly on the floor …. 😯

Looks convincing to me! If they’re anything like honeybees then the drone’s genitals would have exploded off his body towards the end in an attempt to plug the queen’s and prevent competition. Nature’s brilliant.
